Diversity, equity and inclusion
MIPIM 2024 will be more diverse, accessible, and safer for all, reflecting the world in which we live and the communities that we serve. Conference panels with three people or more will aim to feature at least one woman. Moreover, free passes and accommodation will be available to selected delegates under 30 years of age. In partnership with the Palais des Festivals, we will ensure accessibility for all persons with disabilities.
A younger crowd
MIPIM invites 16 people below 30 years of age to participate in the event free of charge, with their accommodation paid for by MIPIM.
These Challengers were selected via a 600-word essay contest in which they discuss the challenges facing urban development and how young professionals can be a part of the solution. Authors of the winning entries are invited to participate in three conference sessions during MIPIM, including two dedicated events. This initiative is designed to boost the diversity, equity and inclusion of MIPIM.

At MIPIM 2024, at least one woman features on conference panels with three participants or more. This policy is displayed alongside the details of each event in the programme.
In real estate
MIPIM Director Nicolas Kozubek has signed a charter of commitment to gender parity and equality in the workplace for firms and organisations in the real estate sector, in partnership with Le Cercle des Femmes de l’Immobilier. This French association seeks to improve the representation of women in the workplace, through education and greater transparency, to drive collective action.

An accessible MIPIM
The venue
As the Palais des Festival of Cannes is open to the public, the building has been made accessible to all, in compliance with French laws on Accessibility (Ad'AP, March 31, 2019).

A guidance solution is deployed throughout the site to guide and navigate you on the premises with complete autonomy.
We strive to facilitate the movement of everyone and offer specially tailored routes for people with disabilities.
Thus, you can benefit from step-by-step guidance from 2 booths you desire to visit thanks to instructions adapted to your needs, ensuring an optimal experience as a visitor or exhibitor!
Wheelchair rental
The Pharmacie du Casino, located across from the Palais des Festivals, offers manual wheelchair rentals (non-electric). To reserve one, please send an email to [email protected] at least 48 hours in advance. The wheelchair can be picked up and returned at the pharmacy or at a nearby address.

Parking
The parking facility beneath the perimeter of the Palais des Festivals offers 15 accessible parking spaces for people with reduced mobility (PMR).

A safe and secure business environment
MIPIM is committed to providing a safe and secure business environment built on mutual respect for all participants.
Inappropriate behaviour, disrespect or harassment, is not part of the MIPIM experience and will not be tolerated. Everyone can attend MIPIM, free from fear of discrimination, or concern about their personal safety.
An event by RX
RX has a long-standing code of ethics and an Inclusion & Diversity policy. It actively supports the many programmes and initiatives across the company, and has made concrete commitments to directly impact I&D growth, globally. In January 2021, RX pledged to donate $1M over the next five years to selected not-for-profit partners around the world who are working to improve inclusivity and diversity in their local communities by supporting social change, fighting injustice and fostering development.
